Beginning…

In Pursuit of One was born out of a desire to elaborate on the eternal relationship between God and man. This is not designed to be a theological perspective, but rather a discussion on pursuing God.

In my own life, my pursuit has been interesting in that I feel I’ve seen many sides of this “relationship”. For a large portion of my life, I understood this relationship to simply be my salvation in Jesus Christ. However, about 10 or so years ago, God began to open my heart to show me that this fellowship that we have the opportunity to participate in is so much more than just being saved from hell.

I invite you to participate in this journey as I document this pursuit with things such as thoughts of God, bits of Scripture concerning relationship, books that inspire, worship music that pulls the heart, and resources around the net that help in this chase.

Maybe the idea of knowing God personally is a new concept, or maybe you’ve had glimpses of intimacy, but don’t know that much about it. If that is you I would encourage you to open your heart and join me In Pursuit of One.

My name is Chris Davis. I am married to Hannah and have two wonderful children, Isaiah and Leah. I am the Youth Pastor at West Ridge in Pittsburgh, PA. I have a desire to see this generation awakened to the life that Jesus has come to give, and for the Church to come into understanding of real intimacy with Jesus.
